About The Artist
H.A.Khan studied fine arts in Universiti Sains Malaysia in mid 1970s where he took up art history (T.K Sabapathy) drawing & painting (Lim Eng Hooi) and black and white photography (Robert Crock). In 1980 he took up scenography (Van Phillips) and theatre directing (Jim O' Connor) in the US. He took part in art exhibitions in Penang and Kuala Lumpur together with artis utara (northern artist) as well as the Anak Alam group. Some of his works had been displayed at the National Art Gallery in the 8Os. He also writes and directs for stage, films and television. He started to paint full-time again upon his retirement from the universities in 2018. All creations are exclusive and one of a kind.
